Cockroach Control Services
Do not delay in contacting us if you suspect a cockroach infestation as they carry potentially dangerous bacteria that cause Typhoid, Salmonella/Salmonellosis, Cholera, Gastroenteritis, and Dysentery.
Two of the most common types of cockroach encountered in UK homes and businesses are the German cockroach and Oriental cockroach. The German cockroach loves to hide from the British weather and come inside to breed in dark, moist, undisturbed places such as behind fridges, dishwashers where the warmth of the house and motors in appliances keep them happy. The Oriental cockroach will tend to choose a cooler, dark, damp place such as a cellar or drain. Both of these types can also be found heating ducts and boiler rooms of large, centrally heated buildings, pipes, stoves, and sinks, and especially in humid areas.
The American cockroach and Brown-banded cockroach may also be spotted on occasion!
But they all love food, water, and dark spaces to hide in! They are hardy survivors and prolific breeders. One cockroach can lead to around 100,000 more cockroaches within the year!
How To Identify a Cockroach Infestation:
Since cockroaches are nocturnal, you may not spot a live one, but their tell-tale signs are black or brown droppings, egg cases, damage to food or packaging and an unpleasant odour.
